The deadline for submitting a PAPER tax return is midnight, 31st October (the online submission deadline is 31st January)
Beware; if you are self-employed and intending to submit a paper tax return, the deadline is fast approaching (all form types available here)! Someone at HMRC must have a good sense of humour to have chosen Halloween as the final submission date!
If the mere idea of completing your self-assessment, haunts you to your very core, you have come to the right place; Little House Accountants will dispel your fears and take away your tax woes.
We can complete your self-assessment on your behalf, once you have authorised us to do so. We can tell you how, but if you would prefer to investigate yourself, you follow this link. It's not a complicated process and we will walk you through it.
Even if you are intending to submit your self-assessment digitally, it is worth beginning now, rather than waiting until January. If there any issues, we can highlight them straight away and solve them in plenty of time. Then you can sleep sounding, knowing that you have checked that worry of your to-do list.
If you have only been self-employed for a year and this is your first time completing a tax return, you will need to register with HMRC via the Government Gateway.
It’s easy to do and all you will need is your National Insurance number, postcode, passport and your driving license to get started!
Once you are registered and we are authorised to complete your tax return, we can either complete it for you fully or help you to complete it yourself.
Either way, we will brush away the cobwebs, scare off your darkest financial fears and demystify the whole process!
